If you are arriving by subway (Metro), you should exit at IPO station (Line D –> Hospital São João) which is at a walking distance (800 meters) from FEUP.
Metropolitan area of Porto is served by a dense network of Bus Connections (STCP) which is fully complementary to Metro.
If you are arriving to Sá Carneiro airport, the best way to travel to city centre is by Metro, Line E.
You need to make a transfer at Trindade Station to Line D –> Hospital São João.
If you are arriving to Porto main train station (Campanhã), there is a metro connection, with transfer in Trindade Station to the Line D –> Hospital São João.

For those travelling thru Lisbon airport (Humberto Delgado airport), there are fast train connections (Alfa Pendular) (about 3 hours trip) beptween Lisbon Oriente Train Station and Porto Main Train Station (Campanhã).
